Pumpkin Carving 2008

Gavin had a great time picking out which carving he wanted.. He chose the kitty cat and the ghost and DID NOT want tp put a "fire" in them!! He loved watching daddy carve the pumpkin but wanted nothing to do with helping me get the "guts" out of it. HAHA! Fun memories!! Here is the picture of the final project!!

SO WE HAD A VERY EVENTFUL WEEKEND. AFTER THE RACE ON SATURDAY... SUNDAY WE TOOK GAVIN AND BOTH SETS OF GRANDPARENTS TO THE PUMPKIN PATCH! IT WAS A BLAST AND GAVIN HAD SUCH A FUN TIME PICKING OUT PUMPKINS AND RIDING THE HORSE AND JUMPING IN A HUGE CAGE OF COTTON!! HERE A FEW PICS FROM OUR DAY.

Date Day!

Patrick and I spend the day Thursday spending some much needed time together. We started the day at 5:45 AM at the Rick and Bubba show and ended the night going to the Third Day concert! It was a great day!

Happy 50th Mom and Happy 30th Bro!!

So this weekend was extremely busy for me... my brother, dad and myself planned a huge surprise 50th bday party for my mom! It was a success and she had no idea!! YAY! we pulled it off!! Here are a few pics from the eventful weekend. We also had a special day on Sunday for Chris since he is also turning 30 this week! Happy Birthday to two of the most important people in my life!! I love you both very much and hope I made it a very special birthday for both of you!!

STRESS STRESS AND MORE STRESS!

Boy have we had a stressful week! I dont think I have been this stressed out since Gavin was born and we had all of his medical complications.
Our week started off bad last Tuesday with a phone call from our great-grandmother who keeps Gavin. He decided to get on the treadmill and turn it on and got his finger caught in the belt... WHILE IT WAS STILL RUNNING! Needless to say, he had a thrid degree burn to his finger!! At the beginning of the week, it looked so bad that the hand specialist thought he might have to have a skin graft!! We went back yesterday ( aweek from injury date) and to my excitement... God has once shown his grace and miracles in Gavin b/c she said it looked great and would heal on it's own! WHAT A PRAISE REPORT. We have come along way with this finger in just one week! I have been stressed to the max! So... all was better yesterday... then I get home last night and notice a rash all over Gavin... HE WAS ALLERGIC TO THE ANTIBIOTIC HE WAS PUT ON!! Geez!! Can we just get a break please!!!!! So... that has been the not so fun week we have had. Not to mention the cold that Gavin and I have both had all week, so we have both been up at night without good sleep!
So... with all of that being said... maybe things will start to calm down at our house!! I just wanted to let you all know about Gavins finger so you could pray for healing to continue and I wanted everyone to know that God has done yet another miracle in this child. It was so bad last week, that he could have possibly had surgery that wouldn't have even worked... so he went from that to this week.. it is going to be fine and heal on its' own! God is good... all the time!!

Milestones!

So the pastmonth has been a major milestone for Gavin. It has been a month full of mixed emotions for me. As I see these pics and post them, I am again reminded that my baby is officially not a "baby" anymore. Gavin has made the huge transition from a crib to a "big boy bed" and has done amazing. He doesn't get out of it...ever, and sleeps through the night!

The biggest milestone that I am so proud of him for is he is potty trained. After 7 months is "training" it has finally just clicked and he has got it with the exception of the times when he is playing ball and doesn't want to stop to go to the potty. He is 2 1/2 so I definitly have to brag on my smart baby for that. God truly amazes me all the time with what he has done with Gavin and where he has come in such a short 2 1/2 years. When I think he is a normal 2 1/2 year old, God shows something else in Gavin to remind me that he is an exception and a miracle in our lives. God is good!

The other milestone is that Gavin has started his 2nd year of school. It is very structured this year and he has class assignments this year so it is alot different for him and I know it will be so good for him. I took him this week and I believe mommy is having as many seperation issues as Gavin.

As I sit back and look at all the changes in the past year that we have has with Gavin, I am reminded how much tme flies and how much I treasure my time with my boys, Patrick and Gavin. I really don't feel like I deserve either of them, and I am so thankful that God has grace enough on me to give me such joy in my life in these two people.

Thank you Patrick and Gavin for being my heart. I love you both to the moon and back.

CAMO GAVIN

Here is my silly boy. He found this hat at his Papaw and Granna's house and loves it. I am personally not a big fan of Camo, so I was trying to get him to take it off because he looks like a redneck... BUT OF COURSE HE LOVES IT!! HAHA! (JUST MY LUCK) Anyway... i thought the pic was cute of him in it, so I wanted to share.

Gavin is officially a BIG BOY

SO, Gavin got a big boy bed yesterday and the first night he slept in it, he slept through the night!! I was up more than he was, checking on him and making sure he didn't fall off! I was so proud of him for being a big guy and staying in his bed! I love you Gavin Andrew Isbell!! I love you to the moon and back. Here he is so proud in his new bed!

Our trip to visit John Rhett!

So we enjoyed some quality time with my BFF Amber and John Rhett this past weekend. It was a blast just being abke to hang out and enjoy our babies together! John Rhett turns one in two weeks so we took him his Bday present early. Gavin of course wanted to play with it, only when Rhett wanted it. (typical 2 yr old) I

I also was introduced to my all time favorite store in the world now... IKEA. I went in expecting to maybe buy Gavin a big boy bed and came out with an entire new room... decor and all for Gavin. I have posted a pic of my extreme happiness when leaving the store with my huge "buggy"

Thanks Amber for making it an awesome trip. Thank you for the last 16 years of friendship. I can't wait to see what the next 16 have in store for us. I love you!

Georgia Aquarium Trip

So we took Gav to the Aquarium in Atlanta for one last vacation before I start up my super busy football schedule with work. It was a blast. Gavin loved all of it but epecially the penguins! We were accompanied by my BFF Amber and her precious John Rhett and her hubby Josh. What a great day we had!!!!!!!!!!!! Here are a few pics!

Day at the Zoo!
